Our fuel management system enables site owners to track and manage fuel use, from receiving and storage to dispensing and consumption.
Any discrepancies between fuel burn and fuel dispense can be traced and reported on. And the multi-level authentication feature introduces accountability measures for operators.
SmartFEMS™ is easily integrated into new or existing fuel installations, enabling:

Fuel delivery to the bulk fuel facility on site.
Delivered fuel passes through a receiving fuel meter before entering bulk storage.
SmartFEMS™ continuously monitors fuel received and bulk storage tank fuel levels.
Fuelling stations and refuelling bowsers utilise the same fuel dispensing authorisation process: facial recognition (touchless authentication) is required for preauthorised attendants and equipment operators to dispense fuel. Preauthorised equipment is identified and authenticated by proximity sensors. The dispensing transactions are then authorised and the dispensing pump is initalised.
SmartFEMS™ continually monitors dispensing meter activity, regardless of authorisation.
All specified equipment is equipped with real-time telemetry units that automatically supply location, fuel level, run hours and equipment Operational Data to the SmartFEMS™ Platform.
All dispensing locations have SmartFEMS™ Platforms. The SmartFEMS™ Platform manages all communication, data validation and authorisations.
SmartFEMS™ is fully functional, both online and offline (with and without connectivity), with automated sync capability of all offline transactional data which is uploaded once connectivity is regained. Operational Data is then fed into the Transactional Dashboard & Power BI Performance Reporting Dashboard.
From the moment fuel arrives on your site, SmartFEMS™ kicks into gear, recording every fuel transaction at designated points on your site. Hover over the numbered process icons to learn more about the SmartFEMS™ process.
Equipment arrives at the fuelling station or fuel bowser.
The fuel attendant confirms the vehicle that is to be refulled from an authorised equipment list of the nearby vehicles. This is done using the scroll and select buttons on the SmartFEMS™ platform.
Once the preauthorised vehicle is selected, the attendant presents their face in front of the facial recognition unit. When the attendant is approved, the Equipment Operator then presents their face to the facial recognition unit for approval.
Once the vehicle, attendant and Equipment Operator have been verified, the system activates the pump and dispensing is initialised.
The SmartFEMS™ user process is intuitive and builds in multi-level authentication.

Developed by our in-house Research and Development team, our hardware solution gives you total oversight of your site’s fuel movement, with real-time alerts and multi-level user authentication.
By integrating Power BI Summary Reports into the SmartFEMS™ Solution, our portal facilitates a deeper understanding of the fuelling activity for each piece of equipment.
Customers who are eligible for a refund from the SARS Road Fuel Levy, typically those engaged in industries that use fuel for off-road purposes such as agriculture, mining or construction, can claim a refund on the portion of the fuel levy that does not apply to their specific usage.
The SmartFEMS™ reporting system makes it more efficient and convenient for customers to submit their claims and receive the refunds they are entitled to, ensuring:
