ECS only exists and creates wealth because of its people. We recognise that our operations have a potential to impact on the safety and health of our team – as such, we will take measurable steps towards achieving zero harm to our people; both at work and at home.

ECS recognises that our operations and people impact on the broader environment and that these impacts need to be minimised and mitigated.

ECS commits to providing a workplace where it is possible to work without harm to our people and the environment and thus commits to applying best practice in health, safety, security and environmental management in all that we do.

Our objectives:

• To ensure compliance with all local and national laws, regulations and standards applicable to our business activities
• To set specific objectives for managing health, safety, security and the environment
• To monitor and report on health, safety, security and environmental objectives by including these as targets in our Key Performance Indicators
• To review health, safety, security and environmental targets annually to ensure appropriateness and enable continuous improvement
• To document, implement and maintain this policy and ensure that it is communicated to all employees with the intent that employees are made aware of their individual responsibilities
• To make this charter available to interested and affected parties by displaying it publicly in key areas
• To review policy annually to ensure it remains relevant and appropriate
• To report on health and safety matters in the Risk Register
